UNC and East Colorado SBDC to collaborate on virtual BizHub incubator, open house Oct. 14

UNC logoGREELEY - The University of Northern Colorado and the East Colorado Small Business Development Center are partnering to offer a unique and innovative business incubator.

The UNC BizHub Collaborative will provide a range of virtual-based services from satellite locations of its partners in higher education, business and the communities they serve, UNC announced today.

The Collaborative will team up with its partners to leverage expertise in assisting new small business owners and entrepreneurs in the region.

Richard Pickett, executive director of the East Colorado SBDC, will lead the Collaborative.

UNC said the incubator - which will be entirely virtual - will be fully operational by early 2015. Until then, entrepreneurs and small business owners can contact East Colorado SBDC at 970-351-4274.

UNC said the project to form a collaborative incubator is part of the university's focus on innovation.

More information on the new BizHub Collaborative will be available during an open house set for Oct. 14 from 5-7 p.m. at UNC's Financial Education Center on the second floor of Kepner Hall, 800 17th St..

Free refreshments will be served and free parking will be available in UNC K lots next to Kepner Hall starting at 5 p.m.
