'Powerhouse of Innovation' event set for today from noon to 2 p.m. at Powerhouse Campus

InnovatioNews LogoFORT COLLINS -- InnovatioNews will present "A Powerhouse of Innovation" today from noon to 2 p.m. in the newly opened CSU Powerhouse Energy Campus at 430 N. College Ave. in downtown Fort Collins.

The free lunchtime program includes tours of the facility and two panel discussions.

Panelists will discuss innovative techniques used in the construction of the $18.5 million, four-story addition to the CSU Engines and Energy Conversion Lab and new technologies that have emerged from CSU energy research.

Panelists include:

  • Bob Hosanna, lead architect for The Neenan Company

  • Mac McGoldrick, CSU Energy Institute

  • Jeremy Nelson, CSU Ventures

  • Peter Novak, Sundolier Lighting

  • Julie Zinn, Spirae

  • Ed VanDyne, VanDyne SuperTurbo

  • Mike Freeman, Innosphere

  • Katie Hoffner, Prieto Battery

  • Brad Nelson, CSU Eco-CAR team member


Two food trucks, Silver Seed and Nomad Street Cuisine, will be available for lunch refreshments.

The two-hour event follows a free presentation in the Powerhouse on the "Agriculture and the Internet of Things" that begins at 9 a.m.

Both Powerhouse programs are part of the first-ever Fort Collins Startup Week May 20-24.
