DENVER - Three Colorado bioscience companies are finalists for the Colorado BioScience Association's "Company of the Year" award to be given at CBSA's annual awards celebration on Dec. 6.
The companies are:
- TOLMAR,Inc., Fort Collins
- Covidien (Colorado operations), Boulder
- Bal Seal Engineering, Inc., Colorado Springs
"Our Company of the Year award is the highest honor we designate for an established bioscience company exhibiting stellar achievement in the industry," said April Giles, CBSA president and CEO.
This year's award winner will join a group of companies that has included Roche Colorado (2003), Pharmion (2004), Baxa Corp. (2005), Myogen (2006), Allosource (2007), CaridianBCT (2008), Accera (2009), Amgen Colorado (2010) and LABS Inc. (2011).
Additional awards to be announced at the Dec. 6 event include Lifetime Achievement, Rising Star of the Year, Business Partner of the Year, Educator of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Chairman's Award.
Earlier this month, CBSA announced finalists for the Rising Star of the Year award. They included InDevR Inc., Boulder; Mosaic Biosciences, Aurora and Boulder; Sophono Inc., Boulder; and Surefire Medical inc., Westminster.
