DENVER - BioWest 2014, the Rocky Mountain Region's premier medical device and biotechnology conference, is set for Sept. 10 at the Marriott City Center in Denver.
The annual all-day conference is hosted by Colorado BioScience Association (CBSA) and attended by more than 300 industry leaders, government representatives, executives, researchers, investors and entrepreneurs.
Keynote speakers for this year's conference are:
- Margaret A. Hamburg, U.S. Food and Drug Administration commissioner
- Jandel Allen-Davis, VP, Kaiser Permanente, government and external relations
- James Hill, executive director, Anschutz Health and Wellness Center
- Len Tacconi, president, HMR Weight Management Services Corp., a subsidiary of Merck and Co.
The event will be moderated by Steve VanNurden, president and CEO of Fitzsimons Redevelopment Authority.
The conference will include C-Level Unplugged conversations with top-level industry leaders and a Venture Showcase featuring four emerging life science companies pitching for a $7,500 cash prize.
Tickets for the full conference are $275 for CBSA members and $325 for nonmembers.
