Zayo Group logoBOULDER - Zayo Group Holdings (NYSE: ZAYO) and McClean, VA-based Day1 Solutions have signed an agreement to deliver private connectivity between enterprise customer data centers and Amazon Web Services (AWS) worldwide, the two companies announced.

Under the agreement, Day1 Solutions will offer Zayo private connectivity to AWS customers through its Day1 Connect managed service solution. Day1 Connect is a turnkey, pre-packaged, managed service that delivers an end-to-end, private and secure connection from AWS into the customer data center.

Day1 Connect leverages dedicated network connections offered by data center and telecom partners - like Zayo - to deliver a complete solution that can reduce network costs, increase bandwidth and provide a more consistent network experience than Internet-based connections, the company said.

"Zayo's global fiber-optic network delivers a highly scalable, secure and consistent network experience," said Luis Benavides, Day1 CEO. "We've connected to AWS through Zayo to support the rapid growth of our own business and look forward to extending these benefits to our enterprise customers worldwide through Day1 Connect."

"Day1 Solutions simplifies and accelerates cloud adoption with a comprehensive suite of services and solutions for enterprise customers," said John Real, VP of strategic channels at Zayo.

"By leveraging Zayo's dark fiber network and direct connections to AWS, Day1 Solutions will be further enabled to support enterprise customer cloud strategies."
