BOULDER - Zayo Group LLC, an international provider of bandwidth infrastructure services, said it is adding 93 route-miles to the company's network throughout the Boulder area, a project expected to be completed by the end of the year.
Zayo said it serves a wide range of customers in Boulder who require high-bandwidth network connectivity, including startups, Internet content and cloud computing service providers as well as major educational institutions.
By investing in its hometown Boulder area network, Zayo said it is able to provide connection speeds ranging from 1 gig to 1 terabyte (1,000 gigs).
When the project is complete, it will connect Zayo's existing 800-mile Front Range fiber footprint and provide customers with access to Zayo's full suite of services, including Ethernet, wavelengths, IP, video transport and dark fiber.
"Boulder has one of the fastest-growing tech job markets in the country and is home of numerous startups whose businesses depend on having cost-effective access to high-speed bandwidth," said Matt Erickson, Zayo's president of physical infrastructure.
"Investing in the expansion of our network on the Front Range allows us to support this technology-driven community as it continues to grow and establish itself as a leader and destination for startups."
