BROOMFIELD - Webroot, a leader in delivering Internet security, announced a partnership with F5 Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: FFIV), the global leader in application delivery networking (ADN).

F5 will integrate Webroot's IP Reputation Services as its Traffic Management Operating System to provide enterprise customers with protection against rapidly evolving Internet-based threats.

"Applications running across networks encounter a wide range of security challenges," said Mark Vondemkamp, F5 Networks' senior director of product management. "IT managers don't want the complexity of managing different single-purpose appliances.

"By integrating the industry's most comprehensive IP Reputation intelligence into our product platform, our customers can take advantage of added protection against malicious sites without any extra management or burden."

"We are excited to join forces with F5 Networks, which shares Webroot's mission of making security management easier for today's busy IT professionals," said Craig Whetstone, Webroot's senior director of strategic alliances.
