Thursday September 19, 2013 0 commentsTELLURIDE - The Telluride Venture Accelerator is now accepting applications from startup entrepreneurs looking for a space to incubate and accelerate their businesses.
The accelerator, launched last year, provides seed funding, co-working space, access to proven mentors and entrepreneurs in residence and a capstone event where companies can pitch for follow-on investment from Telluride's angel investor network and dedicated venture capital funds, including the Telluride Venture Fund.
TVA hosts an annual competition seeking applications from entrepreneurs ready to accelerate their businesses. Up to six companies are selected to attend TVA's five-month, immersive program in Telluride.
Those selected receive a $25,000 investment for a 4 percent stake in their company. Entrepreneurs work together in a dedicated co-working space and attend regular workshops.
TVA is focused on five areas aligned with the Telluride region: outdoor recreation; tourism; natural organic products; health and healthy living; and energy, water and education.
The application deadline is Oct. 23. The next residential period is February to June 2014.
