Revolv is acquired by Google's Nest Labs

Revolv logoBOULDER - Revolv, a company that offers a system to let smart-home devices talk to each other, announced it has been acquired by Google's Nest Labs.

"We have been inspired by Nest since our foundation, and are thrilled to be part of the Nest family," Revolv said on its website.

"Together, we're going to create some amazing products and continue to unify the connected home as part of the Works with Nest program."

Revolv said under the terms of the acquisition it will continue to offer customer support to existing customers but would not offer it to new customers.

Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Revolv was founded by Mike Soucie, Lee Taylor and Jeff Matthews and is a 2012 graduate of the Techstars Boulder startup accelerator program.
