BOULDER - Renewable Choice Energy announced it has hired Pete Dignan to occupy the newly created position of president and COO.
Dignan is former founder and CEO of ProtoText, a Denver-based software consulting business. During a company sabbatical in 2010-2011, he served as executive director for the nonprofit Connected Organizations for a Responsible Economy (CORE), where he launched the CORE Catalyst program.
The program helped more than 20 companies become certified B Corporations.
"We are delighted to welcome Pete Dignan as our new president," said Quayle Hodek, Renewable Choice Energy founder and CEO. "Pete's years of experience as an entrepreneur, leader, manager and advocate - combined with his passion for sustainability, technology and corporate responsibility - make him an outstanding addition to our talented team."
Renewable Choice and its subsidiary, Mosaic Sustainability, provide environmentally focused products and services to more than 140 of the Fortune 500 companies and supply renewable energy to more of the EPA's Green Power Partners than any other firm.
The company also recently announced its partnership with RMI as a founding member of the Business Renewables Center.
