Monday December 2, 2013 0 commentsDENVER - Thirty clean energy companies - including seven from Colorado - will gather in Denver Dec. 3-4 to present their clean energy business pitches to a panel of national venture capitalists and experts in the clean energy finance community for the 25th annual NREL Industry Growth Forum.
Approximately 350 participants are expected for this year's forum at the Grand Hyatt Denver Hotel, 1750 Welton St., in downtown Denver.
In addition to the pitches, the event will include a comprehensive agenda of speakers, in-depth panel discussions and networking opportunities, organizers said.
At the conclusion of the two-day event, NREL will present the Best Venture Award and Outstanding Venture Awards. Award winners will receive in-kind commercialization support to help increase their chances of success.
The event opens Dec. 3 at 12:15 p.m. with keynote speaker Ira Ehrenpreis, Technology Partners general partner. Panel discussions on Dec. 4 include "Needs and Challenges in Clean Energy Investing: A Call to Action for Investors Across All Asset Classes" at 8 a.m. and "Government Support of Clean Energy Innovation: A Look at Emerging Technology" at noon.
The awards presentation will be held from 5:15 to 7 p.m. Dec. 4. Colorado-based companies pitching include Fabriq, Boulder Ionics, VanDyne Super Turbo, Prieto Battery, OptiEnz, Avivid and Solid Power.
