Wednesday October 17, 2012 0 commentsDENVER - Thirty clean energy companies - including eight Colorado-based companies - will gather in Denver Oct. 23-24 to present their cases to a panel of national venture capitalists at the U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory 25th Industry Growth Forum.
In addition to the funding presentations, the two-day event will include a comprehensive agenda of speakers, in-depth panel discussions and networking opportunities.
About 400 participants are expected at this year's forum, NREL said. At the event's conclusion, NREL will present the Best Venture Award and Outstanding Venture Awards.
Award winners will receive in-kind commercialization support to help increase their chances of becoming commercially successful.
The forum will begin Oct. 23 with an opening luncheon from 12:15-1:30 p.m. and a keynote by Katie Fehrenbacher, senior writer and features editor for GigaOM.
The next day, Oct. 24, will feature panel discussions on pitching to investors and consumer value propositions above and beyond energy savings.
An awards reception will be held from 5:15-7 p.m.
The Industry Growth Forum will be held at the Grand Hyatt Denver Hotel, 1750 Welton St.
