MassRoots announces winners of inaugural Marijuana Tech Startup Competition Sept. 26-28

DENVER - MassRoots, a social network for the cannabis community, announced the winners of the inaugural Marijuana Tech Startup Competition.

Three cash awards from $500 to $2,500 were awarded to the following companies:

  • CannaRegs, the Surna First Place prize of $2,500. CannaRegs keeps dispensaries, investors and ancillary businesses informed of changes to marijuana laws and regulations.

  • CraftedHere, the Good Chemistry Second Place Prize of $1,000. CraftedHere provides an online directory of cannabis-friendly bars, clubs and dispensaries for tourists and locals.

  • CannaBrokers, the Cannaseur Third Place Prize of $500. Cannaseur facilitates wholesale transactions between licensed growers, edibles producers and extract companies with dispensaries.


 

"With over 150 attendees, including 12 investment funds and 45 developers, our inaugural Marijuana Tech Startup Competition was a huge success," said Isaac Dietrich, MassRoots CEO. "This event helped develop the next generation of marijuana-tech startups that not only solve real-world problems, but hopefully help to shape the development of the marijuana industry as a whole."

Colorado became the first state in the nation to legalize marijuana for recreational use on Jan. 1.
