Wednesday May 30, 2012 0 commentsBOULDER - The Innovation Center of the Rockies (ICR) has hired Randy West to be program manager for a collaborative commercialization effort with CSU Ventures in Fort Collins.
The ICR and CSU Ventures announced last month they would work together to speed commercialization of CSU faculty research to the marketplace.
West will work closely with CSU Ventures' staff and CSU faculty to understand the key elements of the invention, background and expectations around the process, according to ICR.
"Randy has a diverse background covering the Energy, Disk Drive and Aerospace industries," said Tim Bour, ICR executive director. "His deep technical knowledge in renewable power systems, electro-mechanical components and software will complement the ICR team and help CSU Ventures move Colorado State University innovations into the marketplace."
"Randy is a great example of the talent required for ideas to grow," added Todd Headley, CSU Ventures president. "Randy and the ICR are willing to roll up their sleeves and work side by side with CSU Ventures to foster the environment where these innovations can evolve into viable companies."
