Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce logoFORT COLLINS - The Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce announced Mark Lautman as the second speaker in its Thought Leader Speaker Series.

Author of "When Boomers Bail: How Demographics Will Sort Communities into Winners and Losers," Lautman will speak April 28 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Fort Collins Marriott, 350 E. Horsetooth.

Lautman is a founding director of the Community Economics Lab, a private, not-for-profit think tank that innovates new approaches to economic development to work in a labor and capital constrained economy.

His consulting business, Lautman Economic Architecture LLC, works with community leaders to transform community economies and elevate the professional practice of economic and workforce development.

"It's a compelling read, if you're interested in how the accelerating retirement of the Baby Boom generation will impact our community, especially the economy," said David May, chamber director.

Tickets are $40 for chamber members and $50 for others. Tickets are available on the chamber website or by calling 970-482-3746.
