Fort Collins Area Chamber honors three companies with Small Business of the Year awards at luncheon

FORT COLLINS - Winners of the 2014 Small Business of the Year Awards were announced Wednesday at the "Celebrating Small Business Awards and Luncheon" hosted by the Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce at the Fort Collins Marriott.

Winner in the small business category (0-10 employees) was Mantooth Marketing Company. Aspen Grove Veterinary Care won the medium business category (11-50 employees) and Green Ride Coloradoreceived the award in the large category (51-200 employees).

"Small businesses are a driving force in our community's economy," said David May, Fort Collins Area Chamber president. "These awards give us the opportunity to acknowledge their achievements as well as give other small businesses the opportunity to learn from them."

Mantooth Marketing Company is a full-service public relations and marketing firm.

Aspen Grove Veterinary Care is a state-of-the-art, full-service animal hospital and pet-boarding facility.

Green Ride Colorado, founded in 2008, is a locally-owned, shared-ride airport shuttle company.

Nine awards finalists were recognized at the luncheon. Other companies included (small category) Aggie Plumbing and Service and Babette's Feast Catering and Bakery; (medium category) Exponential Engineering Company and RB+B Architects; and (large category) High Country Beverage and Wolf Robotics.

This year's keynote speaker was DuWayne Peterson, Angel-In-Residence at Rocky Mountain Innosphere and co-founder of Colorado Angels investment group.
