DENVER - Colorado Technology Association named Erik Mitisek, a local entrepreneur and technology community advocate, as its new CEO.
A Colorado native, Mitisek has been active in helping build the Denver technology community throughout his career. Over the last two years, Mitisek was a key leader in helping build Startup Colorado, Denver Startup Week and Builtin Denver.
"Erik's passion for technology, building organizations and weaving together communities brings dynamic new energy to the Association," said Andrea Young, CTA board chair and CIO and VP of Development at BI Incorporated.
"Our industry is a network of large companies, major corporate regional offices, small and medium-sized businesses and startups. Erik is committed to engaging large and small organizations as well as state and local government in the effort to advance Colorado tech and grow a vibrant and sustainable industry."
"I feel honored to join CTA's leadership team and work with the amazing staff, board of directors and many volunteers who have been making CTA a success for years," said Mitisek.
"Working together, we'll strengthen technology as a driver of Colorado's economic growth and establish the state as a competitor in the global technology market."
Mitisek's first day will be April 29, but his first activity as CEO will be opening the technology industry's Day at the State Capitol event on April 19.
