Wednesday October 2, 2013 0 commentsWESTMINSTER - Cloudpath Networks, an industry leader for secure, automated Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) onboarding, is providing BYOD Wi-Fi access to thousands of IT professionals attending the 2013 Interop New York conference this week, the company announced.
"With more than 7,000 attendees, all of whom are experienced technology professionals with multiple devices, it is imperative that the initial user experience of connecting to the wireless network is highly automated, secure and professional," said Kevin Koster, Cloudpath founder and CEO.
"BYOD onboarding is often the first impression someone has with an organization or event, like Interop, so the process needs to be very clean and professional. At the same time, the network administrators need the automation and visibility to save time, maximize resources and ensure services are delivered with the utmost performance."
For the Interop New York 2013 event, a Wi-Fi enrollment system was set up using Cloudpath's XpressConnect platform. The platform provides a single point of entry for virtually any device, including mobile devices or laptops, that need to be connected within the conference hall and onto its wireless network.
"Many of the people attending Interop also are responsible for implementing and managing BYOD practices within their organization, so this represents a great opportunity to help our colleagues not only understand this role of automated onboarding, but experience it firsthand as well," said Amith Nair, Cloudpath's VP of sales and marketing.
