BOULDER - A new business accelerator focusing on the cannabis industry is accepting applications for a 12-week program that runs from April 1 to July 1.

Deadline to apply is Jan. 5.

CanopyBoulder, founded by Patrick Rea and Mark Nottoli, is a seed-stage, mentorship-driven accelerator for companies developing products and services for the rapidly growing cannabis industry.

CanopyBoulder said it will select 20 startup teams from across the country and invest $20,000 in each in return for a 9.5 percent equity in the company.

Participating teams will have access to cannabis industry advisors and an intensive on-site business boot camp to help them move their ideas forward.

Applications for the first class are being accepted here.

Supported by a group of serial entrepreneurs, CanopyBoulder is partnering with The ArcView Group, a California-based network of investors, industry leaders, entrepreneurs and marketing resources.
