Arrow Electronics buys UK-based RDC for $84M

Arrow Electronics logoCENTENNIAL - Arrow Electronics Inc. (NYSE: ARW) announced it has acquired UK-based RDC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Computacenter UK Ltd.

RDC is a leading technology returns-and-asset-management company in Europe, managing the entire IT asset disposition and remarketing process including logistical management of collections, technical processing and secure data eradication or destruction, and remarketing of those assets.

"This acquisition further broadens Arrow's value recovery business in Europe," said Michael J. Long, Arrow's CEO, president and chairman. "RDC will allow us to better address the growing requirements of our global customers."

RDC is based in Essex, England with estimated 2014 sales of approximately $84 million based on current exchange rates.

Arrow said it paid $84 million to buy RDC.

Arrow is a global provider of products, services and solutions to industrial and commercial users of electronic components and enterprise computing solutions.

The company has a global network of more than 460 locations in 58 nations.
