Alpen High Performance Products buys fiberglass window business from Serious Energy

BOULDER - Alpen High Performance Products announced it purchased the Colorado-based fiberglass and architectural glass operation of Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Serious Energy Inc.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Serious Energy manufactures one of the highest performing fiberglass window and architectural glass product lines in the nation, used in both residential and commercial applications.

Serious' Colorado window and glass operation was founded by Robert Clarke in 1982 and operated under the Alpen brand until its acquisition by Serious Materials (now Serious Energy) in 2008.

The fiberglass window products previously sold under Serious Windows brand will now be sold under the Alpen brand.

Alpen High Performance Products logoSerious Energy, which owned the company for four years, is working with Alpen to ensure a seamless transition back to the Alpen brand.
