The awards were judged by a panel of more than 3,000 business executives, including academics and leaders in the fields of product development, design, engineering and science, Novinda said.
"It's a tremendous honor to be recognized with such a prestigious award for our work on mercury removal technology for coal-fired power plants," said Ed Williams, Novinda CEO.
"This recognition underscores the innovation and impact of the product - delivering mercury removal with exceptional economics while creating a significantly lower carbon footprint during production and utilization."
Novinda said its product removes mercury via a chemical reaction, providing economic and environmental advantages unavailable with competing products.
Since 1987, the Edison Awards have recognized some of the most innovative new products, services and business leaders in America.
