UQM expands international customer base with power for Hungarian mini-bus

UQM logoLONGMONT - UQM Technologies Inc. (NYSE MKT: UQM) announced it has expanded its international customer base with UQM PowerPhase electric motor and controller systems being used to power an all-electric mini-bus by Tan-ker Ltd. In Hungary.

It is the first all-electric mini-bus to be approved for use by the Hungarian National Transport Authority, UQM said.

"It's rewarding and exciting to be part of new vehicle segments in emerging markets, and we're proud to work with Tan-Ker on their vehicle test program," said Eric R. Ridenour, UQM's president and CEO.

"Our diverse line of electric motors and controllers, as well as our experience in markets around the world, make our systems attractive to global vehicle manufacturers."

The Inter Tan-ker mini-bus leverages the high efficiency of the UQM PowerPhase electric motor and controller to help achieve the company's reported range of nearly 300 kilometers (185 miles), UQM said.
