BRIGHTON - FMC Technologies, Inc., a global provider of technology solutions for the energy industry, will locate a new sales and service facility for its Completion Services, Fluid Control and Surface Wellhead business units on a 20-acre site in Brighton.

The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade said the project is an expansion of the company's current Colorado operations, with initial staffing at the new facility to include 66 employees.

OEDIT said the company plans to expand its operations and add more than 50 new jobs over the next five years.

The $11.9 million project will include construction of a 50,000-square-foot facility at 1571 County Road 27 just west of Vestas in Brighton.

"FMC Technologies is pleased to be locating our latest Colorado facility in Brighton," said John Deiss, FMC's property development manager. "This location is ideally suited to help us meet the growing needs of our customers in the area.

"The new facility will provide us with a single location that allows three of our businesses to work together more closely to ensure customer success."

FMC received $532,440 in Job Growth Incentive Tax Credits from the Colorado Economic Development Commission in October to help fund the project.

"The expansion of FMC Technologies and the addition of new high-paying jobs is great news for Colorado and for the Brighton community," said Gov. John Hickenlooper.

"Companies like FMC continue to recognize the strong industry ecosystem in Colorado, and we're delighted they chose to expand here to support even further growth."
