Ecotech names Patrick Longstreth as new academic dean

DENVER - Ecotech Institute, the first and only school in the U.S. solely focused on renewable energy and sustainability, announced Patrick Longstreth as the school's new academic dean.
Longstreth, who has been with Ecotech since October 2012, will be responsible for implementing the school's vision and strategic direction.
Longstreth has been serving as Ecotech's program director for both the Electrical Engineering Technology and Power Utility Technician programs. Before Ecotech, he served in a variety of roles at ITT Technical Institute and Everest College.
"Patrick has always been an outstanding member of our Ecotech Institute faculty, providing students with the individual care and attention they require," said Chris Gorrie, Ecotech president.
"His experience and leadership at Ecotech Institute make him the ideal person to serve as academic dean."
Longstreth has a bachelor's degree from Indiana University and an MA in education curriculum and instruction from the University of Phoenix. He also earned an associate's degree in electronic engineering technology at ITT Technical Institute in Louisville, Ky.
