CSU's Ag Summit revs up with full day of activities

CSU Ag Summit logoFORT COLLINS - Colorado State University's inaugural agriculture summit, "Advancing the Agriculture Economy Through Innovation," continues today at Lory Student Center on the CSU campus with discussions of new advances in the state's ag sector.

Panels and speakers will address a variety of ag topics, including Colorado's dairy industry, the new agriculture economy, agriculture as an economic engine of growth, ag's cleanteach challenge, water availability and achieving a healthy food system.

Today's agenda also includes the opening of the Innovation Fair and a pitch slam, and a keynote address by Denver Mayor Michael Hancock.

The Summit opened Wednesday with a leadership roundtable on the future of agriculture in Colorado and master classes on Big Data, the Internet of Things and climate change.

The Summit concludes Friday with panels on the food supply chain, ag financing and the challenges that lie ahead for the sector with a keynote from Bill Stoufer, COO of Ardent Mills.
