Westone logoCOLORADO SPRINGS - Westone, a leader in high-performance audio and in-ear monitoring technology, announced it is partnering with California-based BBE Sound to deliver the best sound for the mobile generation.

The partnership will include Sonic Maximizer -- BBE's acclaimed audio technology - to create an iPhone app that allows users to hear music on their Apple product in a new way, Westone said.

The Westone/BBE app is available for $2.99 on iTunes. Users select a playlist, pick a preset and press play, Westone said. The app automatically provides professionally calibrated presets for the listener's Westone earphones or other speaker system and no other special equipment or download is required.

"BBE and Westone share a mission to provide studios, professional musicians and music fans alike with audio solutions delivering superb sound quality," said David McLaren, BBE's executive VP.

"We have a deep understanding of musical expression and sound reproduction which comes from serving the most discriminating ears in the world - the people who create and perform the music we all love."

"Our partnership with BBE is part of our commitment to musicians and music lovers to deliver the finest audio experience available," said John Lowrey, Westone Audio Group VP.

"Westone is dedicated to our musicians, and now with BBE technology we can deliver a sound signature that they are accustomed to in their live performances."
