LOVELAND -- YouSeeU unveiled a new video assessment platform that facilitates soft skill development across every stage of learning at SXSW EDU in Austin.

Bongo, the company's new flagship platform, leverages proprietary video and feedback technology to make the assessment and improvement of learners' soft skills possible at scale.YouSeeU_logoUSE

YouSeeU said Bongo lets learners demonstrate their knowledge and skill through structured video workflows, which are completed asynchronously, and through a virtual classroom solution that enables face-to-face meetings in real-time.

YouSeeU said it built Bongo to address a pressing issue in today’s workforce today -- the soft skills gap. Although skills like communication, collaboration and critical thinking are consistently named as a top requirement for success, there's a glaring gap between employer demands and worker capabilities.

YouSeeU said it aims to close that gap with Bongo.

"Our goal is to make sure every learner -- regardless of what stage of life they're in, what they do, or what they study -- is equipped with the skills they need for lifelong success," said Jeff Lewis, YouSeeU's founder and chief product officer.

"YouSeeU has been using video to do this since its start, and thanks to feedback from many of our clients and partners, we've been able to build an incredible new learning experience in Bongo."

YouSeeU said it is in the process of replacing its legacy platform with Bongo, which features an entirely new user experience and interface, streamlined workflows, and a patent-pending peer review system that distributes feedback evenly to all learners.

Bongo is now available to higher education institutions, corporate training organizations, test publishers, and other learning or assessment entities.

"We believe that learners deserve more than the status quo," Lewis said. "That means allowing every one of them to be heard. We're proud to help make that happen with Bongo."
