The selection was made by a text vote after presentations from the top three startups.

“It is both an honor and a privilege to be named the Best Green Startup at the AREDAY event this year,” said Ed VanDyne, Wave Solar Technologies president and CEO.

“We have been working hard to create a solar engine that meets all the energy needs of your home.”

“Today’s solar market is skyrocketing, but inefficiencies still exist,” said Abby Stern, Startup Green program director.

“Wave Solar Technologies have the potential to rapidly accelerate this market while transforming the way we produce electricity for our built environment as we make the necessary transition to a low-carbon economy.”

This year’s AREDAY event included presenters from all over the world talking about what can be done to combat climate change and make the Earth a cleaner place to live.

Key presenters throughout the week-long conference included Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson, president of Iceland; former Colorado Governor Bill Ritter; and Amory Lovins, Rocky Mountain Institute.

The Startup Green Accelerator gives clean technology minded entrepreneurs mentoring, access to capital from investors and the ability to showcase their products and services.
