FORT COLLINS -- A Feb. 1 snowstorm that gained strength through the day resulted in some Fort Collins Startup Week  events being postponed on Monday with today’s morning events also being rescheduled.Fort_Collins_Startup_Week_logoNEWUSE

The storm is expected to taper off this morning, and the remainder of FCSW events for the week are expected to resume this afternoon.

Most events are scheduled to be held at Galvanize Fort Collins, 242 Linden St., and at Innosphere, 320 E. Vine Drive. Other locations in the downtown area will also host events.

This year’s third annual Fort Collins Startup Week, Feb. 1-5, is a departure from the first two years when the event was held during the last week of May. Charisse Bowen, Galvanize Fort Collins campus director and one of the principal organizers of the 2016 event along with Christine Hudson, said the event was moved to have more space between the state’s startup weeks.

Boulder’s startup week is in the middle of May, while Denver’s is in September.

Fort Collins Startup Week includes dozens of free panel discussions, speakers, activities and networking opportunities and is aimed at celebrating startup entrepreneurs in the area.
