DENVER -- The historical practice of drawn-out review and research to evaluate potential startup deals will be shaken up at the first ever Due Diligence Rally on Saturday, July 16.
Rockies Venture Club, one of the oldest and most successful angel capital organizations in the United States, said the Due Diligence Rally is being piloted to provide collaborative, community driven, high quality diligence in an efficient timeframe.
Current due diligence reports for startups can take many weeks or even months to complete, RVC said. The Rally format will reduce the total elapsed time to seven days.
“We think the Rally approach can fundamentally change the landscape of due diligence, bringing our entrepreneurial community closer together and accelerating the process of Angel investing,” said Jacob Cordova, director of the Venture Capital Analytics program at RVC and co-creator of the Rally concept.
“The Rally transforms due diligence into a collaborative, transparent process that leverages the strength and wisdom of our startup community, and Colorado is leading the nation with this innovation.”
Diligence will be performed on SourceDirection.com, a Denver-based startup seeking funding from the Colorado investment community. The Presenting Partner for the first ever Due Diligence Rally is Galvanize, a Denver-based education company that blends the lines between learning and working.
Additional information can be found on the Rally website. For additional inquiries or to RSVP for the Happy Hour Wrap, contact Cordova at 720-515-7020 or [email protected]
