COLORADO -- Colorado has the 4th most tech jobs per capita in the U.S., according to a new study by Spanning.
Colorado employs 123,040 tech workers who earn a median annual wage of $94,880, the study found.
The median annual wage for all occupations in the state is $44,250, meaning Colorado’s tech workers earn on average more than 114 percent in pay than other workers.
The Spanning study said Virginia has the highest percentage of tech workers, followed by Washington, Maryland, Colorado and Massachusetts.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, job growth in computer and math-related occupations has outpaced the national average since 2008.
