DENVER -- Fifty companies from around the world applied to compete in one of the top ranked health innovation competitions in the nation and win the chance to partner with a Colorado healthcare organization and a portion of $150,000 in prize funding.
The competition ended with a live pitch competition on Nov. 13, when the top six finalists presented their solutions to 28 Colorado provider organizations for bidding.
Powered by The Colorado Health Foundation, the five-month competition vets and validates companies on a series of business, clinical, diversity and inclusivity, and social impact rubrics in order to identify the most relevant, sustainable, and market-ready solutions to improve healthcare and advance health innovation for Colorado’s underserved and marginalized populations.
More than 115 judges participated in this year’s event, representing a range of perspectives and expertise in Colorado healthcare, technology, community, and business.
Seventeen companies advanced to the semi-finals in August, and six advanced to the final round in October.
More than 300 attendees, including the Lieutenant Governor of Colorado, virtually joined the live event to see the six finalists present their solutions.
