THORNTON -- Ascent Solar Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: ASTI), a developer and maker of PV modules integrated into its EnerPlex series of consumer products, today announced it has reached a major milestone with the availability of EnerPlex products in more than 1,000 retail locations globally.
“Between March and October alone, total retail coverage expanded over 220 percent globally and is expected to continue at this growth trajectory into Q4 and beyond in 2016,” said Rafael Gutierrez, Ascent senior VP and COO.
EnerPlex said its recent retail locations have included Fry’s Electronics, TCC-operated Verizon Wireless Premium retail stores, Cabelas, Sports Authority and Micro Center.
Internationally, EnerPlex products are now available in Maplin retailers in the UK, Anaconda in Australia and Torpedo in New Zealand.
“In addition to our brand’s accomplishments with online and on-air partners such as EVINE LIVE, the success of our sales strategy in the mobile vertical and our burgeoning success with retailers in the outdoor vertical – such as Sports Authority and Cabelas – clearly validates the company’s sales and marketing strategies both domestically and globally,” Gutierrez said.
