LARAMIE, WYOMING -- (Feb. 8, 2016) A Wyoming business focused on improving the performance of midstream natural gas facilities is teaming with an Israeli company’s cybersecurity expertise to present a new product that prevents O&G client’s operational data from being hacked.
LogiLube, LLC will introduce its Platinum Level Data SecurityTM solution with Waterfall Security Solutions’ Unidirectional Security Gateways technology at its core during the 20th Annual ARC Industry Forum in Orlando, Florida set for February 8-11. More than 700 leaders of global industrial companies, including executives from multinational energy companies, are expected to attend the event.
The combination of the two companies’ products delivers ‘actionable information’ from real-time data analytics to field engineers monitoring midstream natural gas facilities at often remote locations while at the same time protecting that data from being compromised.
“Our Platinum Level Data Security solution represents the intersection of disruptive innovation and cybersecurity,” says Bill Gillette, president, CEO and founder of LogiLube. “We are supporting the asset managers’ need for real-time condition monitoring and diagnostics without compromising cybersecurity.”
Waterfall has gained renown in the industrial control space, receiving Frost & Sullivan’s 2012 Network Security Award for Industrial Control Systems Entrepreneurial Company of the Year and its 2013 North America Award for Customer Value Enhancement.
“By adopting Waterfall’s solutions, LogiLube can deliver to the midstream natural gas market actionable analytics that are both real-time and air-gap secure,” says Gillette. “This represents a game-changing technology for the midstream oil-and-natural-gas industry. We can now provide real-time information without risking data integrity or compromise IT security. The intelligent machine health data analytics we provide can be integrated directly into our client’s IOC.”
LogiLube’s Platinum Level Data Security product works with the company’s trademarked SmartOilTM solution, a compressor package-mounted, real-time oil condition monitoring system. SmartOilTM is designed to increase equipment up-time and overall reliability by providing actionable analytics on machine health indicators such as oil temperature, pressure, viscosity and dielectric strength, and is optimized for fleets of 1,000-5,000 HP natural gas-fired engines powering reciprocating compressors.
The result is less compressor downtime and increased operating revenue for midstream operators.
LogiLube’s data security solution offers multiple layers of data encryption and firewalls as well as a powerfully effective approach to air-gap security defense. Together with Waterfall’s Tx software agent at the LogiLube data center, a unidirectional system is created that prohibits data back-flow while preventing the communication path from being exploited to route messages or information to undesired or unplanned destinations.
With margins falling in the oil-and-gas industry over the past 18 months and operators desperate for efficiency gains, Gillette said he expects LogiLube’s Platinum Level Data Security product – coupled with Waterfall’s Unidirectional Security Gateways software – is a solution that will find serious interest at the ARC event.
LogiLube LLC, a Galvanize company, is a technology development business focused on predictive data analytic solutions for the natural gas compression industry. A suite of patented products are in various phases of design and implementation; the initial product is SmartOilTM, which is a compressor package-mounted, real-time oil condition monitoring system designed to increase valuable equipment uptime and overall reliability. The target market is fleets of 1,000 - 5,000 HP natural gas-fired engines powering reciprocating compressors. For more information, visit http:// www.logilube.com/.
