WESTMINSTER -- On April 10, DaVinci Institute will launch “Inside the Mind of a Futurist,” the first-ever, week-long course for people who want to enhance their understanding of the future and apply it to their advantage.
“Thinking about the future can be difficult,” said Thomas Frey, DaVinci Institute senior futurist.
“Most people don’t spend a lot of time thinking about the future because it is hard. However, the decisions you make today are all based on your understanding of the future.”
With forces of change sweeping across every industry, disrupting cities, businesses, products and professions key decision makers, investors and strategists can no longer plan for the future simply by projecting market trends forward.
For this course, Frey is partnering with fellow futurist Michael Cushman to demonstrate a number of unusual techniques developed specifically for futurist thinkers. Throughout the course, they will not only explain the methods but also help participants apply them to their own situations.
The course has been designed for corporate executives, planners, strategists, influential thinkers and those who aspire to take on those types of roles.
“Our grasp of the future is what gives us the ability to effectively lead people through the uncertain times ahead,” said Cushman.
“The future is all about strategy, and we’re teaching essential tools to give people a distinct advantage.”
“Inside the Mind of a Futurist” is the first course offered by the newly developed DaVinci Tech Academy. It will be presented April 10-14 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the DaVinci Institute, 9191 Sheridan Blvd, Suite 300, Westminster.
