DENVER -- Convercent, a leading provider of enterprise compliance management software, announced its first global user conference, Converge '16, drew in current clients and prospects from around the globe across industries.Convercent_logoUSE

To be held annually, Convercent said Converge '16 is the only industry conference where compliance professionals are not being spoken at but rather where they shape the conversation with interactive demo sessions, world-class speaking panels and elite networking events.

The Sept. 14-16 conference theme, "Climbing the Compliance Mountain -- Together," challenged a traditional, and often divided, mindset of the compliance professional and technology provider relationship to think of the connection as a trusted partnership.

"Converge '16 was a great conference; a great opportunity to interact with other users and learn from them, see what common problems and solutions we have," said Patrick Burns, loss prevention manager at Cinemark Theatres.

"There were a great deal of things to take back and incorporate into our business to improve how we use the system. I am looking forward to implementing these."

"Our goal with this event was to bring global compliance officers together to talk about emerging trends, changes, challenges, and the exciting things that are happening in the industry," said Patrick Quinlan, Convercent CEO.

"It was an extraordinary couple of days full of energy, enthusiasm and passion. We learned that the power of this community is much greater than the action of one. We will continue to work together to build a modern compliance platform that has a direct and meaningful impact."

"Each company and compliance program has unique needs, questions and interests," said Katelyn Conlon, Convercent’s director of global events and lead organizer of Converge. "Having a flexible schedule and speaker line-up that focuses around what matters most to attendees is the event's true value. “Converge is designed to not only bring the Convercent community together to get a deeper dive into our product and thought leadership, but also make the technology and the people behind it personable and authentic -- a driving focus for all of us here at the company."

Converge is catered to compliance leaders who understand the importance of data-driven compliance strategy and management. The event's keynote speaker, Eric Alexander, skier, climber and mountaineer, set the stage of the conference by sharing his journey of assisting the first blind man to ascend Mount Everest.

His inspirational speech drove the conversation for the other speakers to take the stage with this theme in mind, which included experts from CH2M, Arthur J. Gallagher, Ruby Tuesday, PETCO, Holistic Health, and The Ethisphere Institute.

Converge '17 will be held in Denver Sept. 13-15, 2017.
