DENVER -- Comcast announced it has appointed Leslie Oliver to serve as director of media and external communications for Comcast’s Mountain West Region, which includes Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Arizona.
Comcast said Oliver will develop and lead all strategic external communications and public engagement strategies for Comcast’s operations in the Mountain West Region. She previously served as communications and external relations director for the Colorado Public Employees’ Retirement Association and, before that, as policy and communications director for U.S. Congressman Ed Perlmutter.
Oliver is on the board of the Women’s Advisory Council of City Year Denver, which is a national Comcast community partner. She also serves as chair of the Behind The Red Governing Council for the Mile High Chapter of the American Red Cross.
“We are thrilled to welcome an expert communicator like Leslie to the region team,” said Rich Jennings, senior VP of Comcast’s Mountain West Region.
“Leslie’s experience and leadership will support Comcast’s continued innovation, investment and involvement in the communities we serve, as we redefine how our customers enjoy entertainment, communicate, and connect to what is important to them.
“We are transforming how we do business so we can deliver the next generation of products and ensure our customers have reliable access to the entertainment and information they expect. The responsibility of exceeding these expectations drives our work every day.”
As part of her new role, Comcast said Oliver will support and engage with local, regional and national technology and community partners, civic leaders, media and other stakeholders to advance Comcast’s efforts to provide customers an improved experience and to shape the future of media and technology.
