COLORADO -- A new report published in Forbes ranks Colorado No. 7 on a list of Top 10 states to make a living in 2015.
The list was compiled by MoneyRates.com, which looked at average wages, taxes, cost-of-living, unemployment rate and safe working environments.
No points were awarded for scenic beauty, the Forbes article said.
The study drew on data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, The Council for Community and Economic Research and the Tax Foundation, a D.C.-based think tank.
Washington, which held the top spot on the list last year, moved into second place as Texas changed places and moved to the No. 1 spot.
