DENVER -- A host of Colorado companies and organizations will present a two-day forum in March to help investors become educated on impact investing and introduced to social ventures looking for investment.
Colorado Impact Days is set for March 3-4 and is designed to bring together the state’s top 50 social ventures and 200 impact investors in a first-of-its-kind event, part of the CO Impact Initiative, a three-year strategy to elevate and accelerate impact investing in Colorado.
A “2016 Call for Deals” is now accepting applications through Jan. 10 from any entity seeking investment capital that produces a positive impact on Colorado’s communities, economy and natural environment, organizers said.
The top applicants will be invited to meet with 200 impact investors and offered a chance to compete for awards.
All applicants will receive feedback on their proposals from expert reviewers.
The event is open to applicants seeking all types of investment including but not limited to debt to equity and who are in all stages of growth, including concept, startup and expansion.
Tracks include education and early childhood; economic development and social justice; energy; environment, water, transportation and agriculture; health, wellness and food; and arts, culture and creative enterprise.
Partners and sponsors include Colorado Innovation Network (COIN), The Colorado Trust, Valid Eval, Arrow, Calvert Foundation, The Denver Foundation, Colorado Association of Funders, Colorado Enterprise Fund, Innosphere, New Belgium Brewing, and the Colorado Impact Fund.
