FORT COLLINS -- Charisse Bowen, campus director for Galvanize FoCo  for the last year, announced she is resigning from that position to take a job with Blue Ocean Enterprises  in Fort Collins.

Bowen made the announcement in an open email letter to the Galvanize FoCo community:Charisse_BowenUSE_1

“The time has come for me to move on from my role here at Galvanize,” Bowen wrote.

“I will be taking on the role of Director of Strategic Initiatives for Blue Ocean Enterprises where I will have many different opportunities to build all kinds of cool things.

“I will still be very involved with the startup community here in Fort Collins. I will still be the co-organizer of Startup Week and of the PSD Hack-a-thon, and sit on the boards and panels and all things entrepreneurial.

“I am optimistic that I will have even more time to sit down and help coach you in your business/work endeavors and advise and help in even more ways that I am able to today.

“It has been such an honor to be a part of all of your lives and such a privilege to play a small role in the amazing work you are each doing. What is happening here in this Fort Collins Galvanize campus is truly special.”

Bowen said Galvanize FoCo will hold a “Peace Out” party on her last day, Friday, Sept. 30, starting at 5 p.m.

Bowen is the former director of the Institute for Entrepreneurship in Colorado State University’s College of Business.

During her Institute tenure, she helped launch its Venture Accelerator and the $250K Blue Ocean Enterprises Pitch Challenge.
