DENVER -- Colorado Cleantech Industries Association (CCIA) will release the 2015 CleanEdge Report on “The Colorado Cleantech Landscape” on Oct. 6.
The report notes Colorado’s leadership in cleantech, but cautions that other states are eating away at Colorado's early leader status.
“Colorado has generally been a top-10 state when it comes to advanced technology deployment, including utility-scale wind and solar power, electric vehicles and green buildings,” the report says.
“It is also a leader in cleantech innovation and investment and has a steadily improving policy environment underpinning these successes. However, over the last five years, other states and key leaders across the nation have erased and surpassed Colorado’s early-mover advantage, helping propel their state to cleantech success.”
The report release event will be held at Industry Denver, 3001 Brighton Blvd. beginning at 4 p.m. An investor panel discussion of “What Does Colorado Need to Do to Maintain Its Advantage” will be held from 5-6:30 p.m., with networking following.
The event is free for CCIA members and $35 for others.
