BOULDER -- Boulder’s 6th annual Startup Week gets under way today and continues through Friday with nearly 200 events that are free and open to the public.
The week is expected to attract up to 10,000 entrepreneurs and was the first startup week in Colorado in 2010 to celebrate its startup entrepreneurial community.
With panels on organic food, hemp and recreational marijuana, mindfulness and healthy living and youth, this year’s startup week offers something for everyone, organizers said.
Today's events include panels and presentations on equity crowdfunding, growing an agile company, the future of media, raising capital without a bank or VC and an opening keynote by Dan Caruso, co-founder and CEO of Zayo.
Featured speakers during the week include Brad Feld and Seth Levine of the Boulder-based Foundry Group, Jane Miller of ProYo, Sue Heilbronner of MergeLane, Patrick Riley of the Global Accelerator Network and adman and serial entrepreneur Alex Bogusky.
Sponsors of this year’s startup week include Matter Communications, Name.com, Cisco Spark, Google, Applied Trust and Naropa University.
