THORNTON -- Ascent Solar Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: ASTI) today announced Q2 2015 revenue of $2.2 million, a threefold increase over the first quarter.
The company said total revenue for the first half of 2015 is expected to be $2.9 million, about 60 percent more than the same period last year.
With shipments already lining up for the second half of 2015, Ascent said it expects total revenue for the year to be $10 million to $12 million – a 100 percent increase over 2014.
“We remain extremely upbeat for the second half of the year given the increased visibility of our EnerPlex products in a growing number of reputable retailers,” said Victor Lee, Ascent’s president and CEO.
“We are also seeing increasing traction in the focused, high-value PV market as our lightweight, flexible PV panels are entering into a mature development stage for some applications such as PV-integrated drones and other high-margin PV applications, which we believe will add to our revenue velocity in the second half of 2015.”
