DENVER -- The 4th Annual Western Power Summit will be held in Denver Oct. 23-25.
The Summit is a three-day opportunity for leaders across the energy sector to discuss, debate and gain new perspectives on the pressing issues facing the West’s electric power sector, organizers said.
Participants are expected to include representatives from investor-owned utilities, federal power agencies, cooperatives, independent power producers, municipal power agencies, public policy leaders, financial executives and energy sector innovators.
During the Summit’s first two days, panel discussions and presentations will include public policy challenges; energy storage; transmission access, adequacy and security; distributed generation; the impact of federal policy changes; and digital customers.
The third day of the Summit will feature a tour of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s Energy Systems Integration Facility in Golden.
The Summit will be held at Omni Interlocken Resort in Broomfield.
