BOULDER -- Warfighter Hemp, a manufacturer of CBD products infused from industrial hemp, announced the debut of a holistic and natural new product to help pets with a myriad of health-related issues.
Warfighter said CBD derived from industrial hemp is non-psychotropic and is currently being used by people to withdraw from opioids and manage their pain, anxiety and PTSD, among other aliments.
Now, the company said it is making its product available to dog owners.
"Warfighter Hemp has been hearing from pet owners consistently that they are giving our CBD oil to their pets and are seeing remarkable results,” said Steve Danyluk, Warfighter founder.
“We decided we needed to have an official pet product on the market to meet the demand. We want pets and their humans to enjoy all the benefits CBD oil provides and support them in living their best life, free from pain."
Warfighter said its Warfighter Hemp CBD Tincture for Dogs is a naturally-flavored Zero 150 mg tincture, given to the pet with a droplet. The CBD oil is mixed into food, a peanut butter treat or liquid.
The product features active cannabidiol mixed with organic hemp oil. This product comes in a 15ml bottle, enough to last approximately one month, depending on the pet's weight. Suggested retail price is $40.
As with their human products, Warfighter Hemp said it has committed to giving 50 percent of proceeds back to a veteran charity. In the case of the new Warfigher Hemp CBD Pet Tincture, the company has chosen Semper K9 as the charity of choice.
Semper K9 not only utilizes rescue dogs in their service dog selection process, they also custom train each dog to the specific needs of the wounded veterans.
Through Semper K9's Family Integration Program, caregivers and other family members are taught the skills needed to support the veteran in their recovery through animal-assisted therapy.
