BOULDER -- Boulder-based Visibl, an innovative programmatic video marketing platform, announced raising $1.5 million in initial funding to redefine the video advertising space for small and medium-sized businesses and agencies and rebranding its popular SaaS platform to Brandzooka.
The year-old startup is a video marketing platform that makes it easy for any company, with any size budget, to execute highly targeted video advertising campaigns across the biggest sites on the Web.
Launched as Visibl in October 2015, the new Brandzooka name represents the platform’s powerful self-service ability to launch brands for businesses of all sizes, through targeted and effective placement of video across the online programmatic spectrum.
"In today’s world, why should huge companies continue to have an unfair advertising advantage? Brandzooka makes the most powerful video advertising tech so easy to use and so affordable, it's actually fun," said Alex Bogusky, Brandzooka founder and director.
Several investor groups helped support Brandzooka’s initial round, including digital agency IMM, Galvanize Ventures, eonCapital Ventures, Mahalo Capital and RSVP Ventures.
“Brandzooka has automated a lot of the programmatic subject matter expertise resident in the leading digital media agencies,” said Adam Edelman, IMM’s founder and CEO.
“And in doing so, they’ve opened up a ton of real-time, war room-style engagement opportunities for marketers and agencies alike. It was a natural fit for IMM to lead the round with a strategic investment."
"After getting to know the team, we fell in love with them and their vision for bringing easy programmatic video access to the masses,” said Nick Wyman, Galvanize Ventures director.
“Then we tried the product and it outperformed anything our marketing team had achieved using other tools. With the perfect storm of team, product and market, investing was a no brainer."
