June 1, 2017 marked a major milestone for InnovatioNews.

It was five years ago -- June 1, 2012 -- that we posted our first package of news and information on our new website. Since then, we’ve published thousands of stories, blogs and columns on the amazing innovation going on in Colorado.

We’ve covered dozens of new startup companies, attended and reported on scores of events and strongly supported the ever-growing innovation landscape in the state.

And along the way, we’ve met so many fantastic entrepreneurs, inventors and simply incredible people who are pushing the innovation envelope in Colorado, helping to consistently make it one of the top states for innovation in the nation.

And also along the way we’ve picked up numerous awards for our writing and reporting from the Society of Professional Journalists (and others), attesting to our commitment to bring our readers the latest innovation news.

To make it five years in this era of journalistic revolution and evolution has been a challenge, but we’ve met it and are still standing. We could not have done it, of course, without our loyal sponsors, writers and readers. It is to these folks that we tip our hat today and say thank you for believing in us and being part of our journey.

As it was five years ago, we are the ONLY media outlet in the state exclusively covering Colorado-based innovation on a daily basis. We sincerely hope we have provided our readers with valuable insight into this crucial part of the state’s economy and future success.

And we also hope you will continue to look to InnovatioNews for the latest information on this fast-moving world of technological advancement. Please tell your friends and colleagues about us and help get the word out that InnovatioNews.com is the place to keep informed on what’s happening in this fascinating dimension of our beautiful state.

Thank you Steve and Lee, Innovation is VITAL to Colorado so I applaud any attempt to report on progress and raise awareness of progress and gaps so as to shape a more collaborative future. Been with you from the beginning and hope to help shape a better Colorado as we all love what Colorado can be and why that is more important now than ever.
