DENVER -- The Society of Information Management (SIM Colorado) announced the 10th Annual Colorado IT Symposium will return to Denver at the Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center on April 25.
The one-day, executive-level event is designed exclusively for CIOs and their direct management teams. More than 250 CIOs, VP’s, directors and managers are expected to attend this year’s event.
As technology continues to redefine the boundaries of industries and replace market’s traditional geographic regions with borderless digital environments, event organizers said it has become essential for local organizations to be aware of the global trends in their sectors and implement strategies to integrate them into their operations in order to be able to stay agile and maintain their competitive edge.
This year’s symposium will look at emerging IT trends and provide insights into innovative leadership skills in today’s fast-paced digital age. The interactive event will also provide attendees with opportunities to collaborate and share their knowledge and experiences through a series of panels, breakout sessions and networking.
Keynote sessions this year include thought-provoking talks from industry leaders Peter Lynch (founder and CEO of Hitch Studio) and Change Management pro Robert Tipton, and the day will conclude with an inspirational talk on resilient leadership and engaged teamwork by climber and expedition leader Jim Davidson, who was at Camp 1 on Mount Everest when earthquakes tragically struck Nepal.
Sixteen breakout sessions will also be interwoven into the agenda, including 3 separate panel discussions with executives from Flexential (formerly ViaWest), NETSource, TuffShed, American Water Works Association, CoorsTek, IQ Navigator, Inspirato, the City of Thornton, ISEC and more.
Organizers said attending the 2018 Colorado IT Symposium is an opportunity for leaders engaged in technology to network and explore new ways to maintain competitive advantages in a global economy.
