COLORADO -- Colorado’s tech companies continue to grow in employee numbers, with 20 percent more workers this year than last, according to a study by Built in Colorado.
As reported in a story by April Bohnert, Colorado’s tech sector continues to experience year-over-year growth, with the 100 biggest companies employing more than 25,000 – up by 20 percent over 2016.
Denver-based Gusto made the year’s biggest leap, according to the story, moving up 53 spots to No. 36 and nearly quadrupling the size of its staff.
The Top 100 list included 14 companies founded in just the last five years. And while most of the companies on the Top 100 list are based in Denver or Boulder, companies along the Front Range – including Colorado Springs and Fort Collins – also saw impressive growth, the story noted.
The Top 10 companies on the 2017 list are:

- TeleTech, 718
- Google, 700
- Zayo Group, 644
